Life in CH posting 2

When u come from an urbanized family, seeing a herd of lembu or kambing can be a big deal of excitement for u. Ye kan syeera? Hehe.

Alhamdulillah, another day in Tampin. It's the end of my second week here. But it feels like forever daaah and I dun think I'll be able to settle down properly here. All the clothes are still in the luggage and I intend to leave them that way until the end of this posting. Huuu.

Our latest visits were to Kg Pondoi to see KKM project with BAKAS (Unit Bekalan Air + Kebersihan Alam Sekeliling) concerning SPAL (Sistem Pelupusan Air Limbah) and to Loji Air Gemencheh. The facts are supeeer dry. So, I let the pics to tell the story. :)

The fact I can update the blog soo often, makes u wonder how is it our schedule here. We start our class/ceramah/attachment by 8.30 a.m. (can be much later depend on the PKD people). By noon, we have break and usually continues at 2.30 pm and finishes it around 5 pm. The rest of the day are ourss. Unlesssss, our group leader decides to kill our time by having meeting. Huuu. By the way, there's not much thing to revise on this posting.

Two major things in this posting are the 'grand' research and the Health Intervention Day (read : karnival kesihatan jee poong).

The topic for our research is "Musculoskeletal Problems Among Rubber Tappers In Felda Pasir Besar, Tampin, Negeri Sembilan". Ahaha, the same topic again! like previous batches except that we are doing it at another FELDA. Rasenye abees laa sume FELDA kat Tampin ni bdak USIM wat research. Ahaha. The major limitation in this study is that, this FELDA hassss been looong established since 1960s. Means that most of the rubber trees are OLD and just waiting to be cut down. And that affects A LOT on our study population because the first generations daah agak tua (ade yg daah xde, huu) and 2nd/3rd gen already sub-contracted it to buruh/indons. Pendek kata, xramai dah laa yg menoreh kat FELDA ni. But still, Dr wants to continue the study there and by hook or crook, we need to find our study sample, be it indon or banglaa mariii. Hmm, redaaah estate and kebun laa jwbnyee nk cari mereka2 ni. Huuuu.

That's for research. For HID, I was assigned to handle the protocol unit with Syeera. Usually, mmg exco MSC akan amik part tuu. Ntah nape. Not much to be done now, except for planning and moreee planning. The worst part is the execution of the plan on the 'hari kejadian'. Huuu.

p.s. This posting makes me feels like I'm not a medical student at all. muhaha.

Zaaaappp. Tersentap kot bile bace ayat ni. A great reminder from Him bile hati dah start lalai drpd Nya. Alhamdulillah, masih berpeluang utk kembali kpd Nya.

Points to be noted from the ayat.

1-Bilaaa laaa hati ni naaak khusyu' dgn mengingati Allah + Al-Quran. Bilaaaa? Kapaaan seeeh??

Bila hati ni dah dry, buat ape2 pn, rasa mcm heartless + emotionless. Na'uzubillah. Takut. Bila dah asyik biase asyik sibukkan diri dgn hal-hal duniawi, hati jd lesu + xbersemangat serta keras utk mengingatiNya.

2-Jgn jd mcm ahli2 kitab dahulu. Allah dah kurniakan mereka dgn kitab mereka. But as time goes by, they took the Kitabs for granted. Xcuba memahami malah cuba ubah plak tuh. Na'uzubillah, moga Allah jauhkan kita drpd menjd seperti mereka.

Konklusinya, jgn biarkan masa2 kita berlalu begitu shj, without kita cuba mengingati Allah and mendekatkan diri kpd Nya. Baca Al-Quran bukan setakat di mulut shj, biar rasa di hati dan di-tadabbur oleh akal.

Ahaa, once dah update blog ni, ada syndrome addiction utk keep it updated walaupun tugas seharian berlambak-lambak perlu disiapkan. 

KD, Klinik Desa

Sekali pandang xnampak mcm klinik pn. 

The thing about CH posting is, it's not really that busy to the extent you have to stay up late to get ur things done (unless if tomorrow is presentation day, mmg kalut laaa sume). But, seemed like until now, even weekends we got sumthing to do. This weekend, we are scheduled to get data for our research at FELDA Pasir Besar.Ketuk sana, ketuk sini laa jawabnyeee. Huuu. And almost every night is meeting night.

And Alhamdulillah, yesterday, we were attached for Food Quality and Safety unit. Yeah! It was another field visit. We tagged along (ya, sini pn ade tagging2 nye, w.pun yg di-ekori bukanlah Dr atau specialist) the health inspectors for food premises inspections. For the first time, I entered the restaurant's kitchen and whatever at its back and reeeaaaally observe its kitchen. Ahaha, now, I'll think twice if I were to eat or tapow nasi outside. Gulppp.

Check for the owner's license and his workers' typhoid immunization bla bla bla..and finaaaaaally, giving the owner his mark! and the passing mark is 60. Time nak bagi mark tu, kena laa bagi nasihat sikit on what to improve. Both restaurants that we went, passed the evaluation. If not, the IK (Inspektor Kesihatan) will warn them and re-evaluate after 14 days. Mcm tu laa lebey kurang procedure nye. Org IK ni mesti kne strict, xleh bg markah2 kesiaaan. Huu.

On the same day, we have ante- and post-natal home-based nursing visit. Seronok! Eventhough our group only managed to observe the ante-natal visit. haha. The case we got was DM complicating pregnancy. Hmmm. Nak comment byk2 pn, OnG's knowledge xdop sgt. Posting pn belum. Next time je la. Huu.

Sem 2+2+2+1

Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal.

Dah masuk sem yg ke-7 bergelar budak medik yg sgt raw (read : mentah). Byk perkara yg perlu belajar + mem-polish skill komunikasi yg super lacking. Esp bila tgh dlm posting Community Health kat Tampin ni.

Ha'ah. I'm starting 4th year with Community Health. First week was filled with lectures, which were zZzZzzzz....ahaha. Friends who started Surgery first are in and out the hospital since the first week. Ehehe, seronok tengok mereka ke hulu hilir dgn wc nye :) We'll get our turn later on the 2nd half of the sem. Tp cuak bila diorg start bukak cerita psl kena marah, mr r*g* la etc. Gulp... Ahaha, pa-pe pun, it's CH time now :)

Ni xde kaitan dgn CH. Tp health screening time pendaftaran 1st yr.

Last week, the days were filled with attempts to finish proposal for research (ahaha, ye la sgt). Kena marah bila things didn't go the way the lecturers want (tp rasenye xsehebat mr r*** tu kot). Hehehe. Alhamdulillah, currently in Tampin and the posting is getting more and more interesting with attachments to health district office.

Did the attachment to the vector-carrying diseases unit dekat PKD Tampin. Interesting sgt! esp bila dapat pergi follow penguatkuasa kesihatan buat house inspection. Penat jugak kerja diorg ni, everyday kena ketuk rumah org. And now, whatever Prof Adel and Miss Zatul taught in the class is put on practice. Ahaha. Aedes albopictus la, A. egypti, Mansoni, Culex. Amiik kau, sumeee keluar.  Mcm2 ubat nyamuk, water-based, oily-based, fogging, abate (En. Ariss kate klau xtauu yg niii, mmg die nak report kt prof Yunus) and etc.

Currently, am having a break at Ampang. More like stranded. Ahaha, sbb I missed the train to Tampin during the day. Ade yg mlm je which is a BIG no-no laa klau kena travel sorang2 mlm2. Pastu mls nak opt for bus. Ahaha. Weeee, rindu la. First day kat Tampin, homesick gile nk balik Ampang. Heee.
