Why arr?

The more I xnk susah kn other people, the more I did it actually. Sedey2. Last nite, I troubled all my housemates. Gatal terknci pintu. Seriously, I've no idea how it got locked. Padahal before this, thing like that never happenned. Tp I redha. As the maxim goes, "Anything can happen". But as Man said, these are among the moments where u can actually see those who are reliable to help u. So, my special thanks go to Tan and the rest of my housemates esp my roomates. And also to Bob and Sehak + Hanip <---the real culprit yg patahkan Emangnye hammer. hak3 And kpd sesape yg indirectly involved in helping us. Also to ustaz. W.pun, pintu tuh lebey rosak dbuatnye. Thanks and SORRY bebyk!!!

BTW, this saturday, ade debat arab. Xtau cmner. Muja has completely lost his voice, I'm having a bad fever. Mner laa I nk cari pengganti esp debat arab. Adeeh. Just wait and see laa mcm mner.

Keyboard off. xtahan wif the runny mucus. :P

Updates.

Salam. Hu3, It's been a sometime I haven't log in here. (Ceh, br 2 minggu :P) Anyway, lots and lots of things happened in between that period.

Last week, I got my result for 1st sem. Alhamdulillah, I didn't expect to get that high. Thanks a lot to my lecturers and friends for their continuous effort in helping me. But, there's always room for improvement. And I know, there are still many slacks and mistakes in me that need to be rectified. Anyway, thanks to Sof, for breaking that news to me. He3 tgh2 dok mkn ice cream kt pandan parade, tetiba dpt msg congratz. :P And to all my friends, congratz on ur all results. Even yg xdpt tuh, kita berusaha lg yerk, maybe Allah tangguhkan sekejap kejayaan kita. Insyaallah.

So, after I got that result, kene laa tanam azam and semangat br. he3 That weekend we went to Kamal. A very nice shopping mall for medical students. I spent almost RM 300 for only 2 books. Parox2. Being in medical field, the money flows like water, u know. Everything is very pricey. But for the sake of knowledge, xpe la. So, I bought Snell's clinical anatomy. Nice book. To learn anatomy, we need to relate to its clinical significance. That's functional anatomy, my friends. Bkn hafal maut jerk sume bende.

By the way, talking about anatomy, br smlm ad tuto anat. By Dr H. He3. Supposedly, we were with Prof E. Ntah mcm mner, we were stuck with Dr H again. Anyway, truth to be told, I prefer to have tuto with Dr H. It's more interactive (yeke?). Becoz u got a chance to verbally describing anatomy. Good for ur future viva la. And at the same time, u can know what ur examiner want to know and listen to. But that's our problem kot, we are kinda spoon fed by our other anat lecturers. Just listen, jot some notes, listen again, ade yg xpham skit tanye (for some of us yg mmg suke bertnye arr), but then listen again.

Bak kate Dr H : They are great lecturers! No one can deny that. But the students need to do their jobs too. Bkn nye pg tadah telinga jerk. U all are good students, but u didn't fully use u all potentials. hmm.

**Something like that laa. I dun really remember the exact words.

Anyway, this sem I have BOWLING (yipee) for the co-curricular activities. It's really fun. W.pun, dgn gaya yg buruk, langkah yg senget but I'm still able to slide the ball on the lane. hak3 I'm looking forward to it. Bak kate bdak gigi, "Enjoy it still u can". Coz, it only lasts for 1 sem. hu3. There's halaqah too. Sooo, not looking forward for it. Hak3, xder la. It's not really like teaching-n-learning thingy. More too assignment and prsttns. Mujur xder exam. :P

Just checked my result for not-core subjects, alhamdulillah again, there's A and B+. Won't tell u which subjects. (ha3, no way u can know, dibah~)

This afternoon, I'll be going to PKN. Saje nk pegi cr pngalaman n ilmu skit. he3 Anyway, xdpt pg kot walimah abg si A tuh. My mother smlm kol, "Eh, igt sabtu nie p walimah tuh!" hu3

So, smpai di cni shj coretan hati ni. Hak3 Lots of things need to be done this morning.

p.s. Dib, hav fun kt Sunway. (Jealous nk tgk cter chipmunks gak!)

Today.

When people talk about dakwah, I dunno what to say. More like, I'm afraid to say anything -Afraid if I said it in a wrong way or I'm saying things like 'cakap xserupa bikin punye maa'. Sometimes, I dun feel like doing the dakwah thingy because people didn't seem like care if I do it or not. And there are occasions where I felt like I dun make any difference at all. So, why burden myself? (o.0?)

Hu3, this way of mindset actually has detered many highly potential da'ei out there. Don't limit dakwah to ustaz2 and ustazah2 only. Everyone is responsible of it.

Anyway, these are some of the gist today's talk by Ust Hasrizal about dakwah. I just feel like sharing it. he2

"Dakwah is a law of nature before it takes its place in law of syariah."
  • Every life in the universe is interdependence on each other. It's hard to live on your own without the need of others. No man is an island. So, the need of the others is basically a dakwah. Amar ma'ruf nahi munkar.
  • Today's dakwah is no longer about awareness in Islam or etc but on how to deal with modern generation that has become very self-centred. The 'I dunno and I dun care' sme.
  • "The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'rûf (i.e., Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e., polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they offer their prayers perfectly (Iqįmat-as-Salat), and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise." (Surah At Taubah, 9: 71)

"The Iceberg Concept"

Aqidah ---> Mindset ---> Evaluation ---> Action

"Aqidah is a belief that results in an action."

"You are what you believe of yourself."

"What you see is what you get." cam WYSWYG yg bljr ICT lak. ;p

"Genius people are those who can convert complicated things into simpler ones."

"Dakwah must be INSIDE-OUT not outside-in"
  • Dakwah should not be done because of environment. Becoz, if we fail to make a difference, we'll be disappointed.
  • Dakwah is not a trend.
  • If we assume dakwah as an obligation that must be done, we'll be burdened because of it.

"We should not tell people what we know, but what they ought to know"

"Think big but act small"

  • We think of our ummah, what kind of improvement we can make, but we act based on our posisition in the ummah - as a student, leader etc.

I think that's all. More and less. Ini shj yg hanya termampu ditulis and diingati kembali. he3

The Weekend.

I was reading biochem just now. Somehow, all those chromatography stuffy really can bore me to death. So, I made a detour to write something here ;). Anyway, if u have probs understading biochem, just search it tru the internet. There's a lot simpler explanation of it. And even Dr Norma's notes also were taken from it.

But studying tru the internet can really (i mean, REALLY) distract me. One minute you're reading principle of ion exchange, the next minute, you're facebooking, or pegi usha2 blog org. Ape la nak jadi.

Yesterday, I went to Mid. Byk jugak habis. Fortunately, I spent it mostly on books, bukannye bende2 yg bukan2. But still, I regretted for lunching at Kenny Roger's. One main course and an orange juice cost like almost RM 20 sumthing. I know2, typical laa tu, but as a student, kene berjimat skit. The money I used is from JPA scholarship which is meant to be used for study and sara diri purposes. Not to go joli sana sini.

On the way back, we got ourselves into a chinese driver's taxi. He talked!! a lot, in a friendly manner of course which is nice actually. Anyway, he started asking about Islam, why women need to wear scarf. And isn't a guy supposed to wear a songkok constantly too (well, actually, songkok is a part of Malay thingy and nothing to do with Islam). And also, do muslims pray at mosques only (becoz, one of his passengers prayed inside his taxi). The answers to all that questions are really easy, if and only if you're explaining it to a muslim too. But when it comes to non-muslims, you really need to choose your words carefully so that you dun cause more confusions to them. But then, I always be in my comfort and safe zone. Meaning, I rarely mingle with non-muslims. This is one of my biggest setbacks. =.=' Hu3

Okay2, got to continue revising Biochem. \(x.x)/

p.s. Anyway, the house was quite empty today. 3 ppl left. The rest, ade msuk sukan la, pergi daurah, balik etc. So, it's a bit? dull weekend. When I'm not reading, I'm off sweeping the floor (ceh, budget rajin), xpon, golek2 on lel's, dhiey's and my beds. Hak3.

p.s.s. BTW, there's a talk at campus tomorrow. By Ust Hasrizal. Something about seerah Nabi. I'm planning to go. Jika tiada aral yg melintang la.

The Time That Lost.

Have you heard this,

or Read this,

Time is irreversible. Once you lost it, it'll never return. And those who are able to manage their time wisely as a servant of Allah and khalifah, are fallahun here and Hereafter.

Wondering, for the past 19 years, what did I do, that has gotten me here? what did i do, that has made me as me? A lot of mistakes that need to be rectified...

There were occasions when I wish that I've more time to do this and that and those too. But the regrets pay nothing.

Now, the 2nd sem of me being a medical student has started. It felt like just yesterday I registered here. Anyway, the 1st day started off with non-stop lectures. Mantap sgt.

So, for this new sem, I suppose to vow for new resolutions, right?

Here goes the list.
  • Don't procrastinate.
  • Do simple mind map for every lecture esp fisio n biochem.
  • No "i think i understand" statement anymore. If you assume, means that you're not confident. ASSUME = A** u n me!
  • Dun understand, ask or discuss.
  • Fisio = logic.
p.s result sem 1 is yet to be known. I'm not sure what to expect. Let it be laaa...

BTW, talking about time, need too keyboard off now.

Friends for life.

Ha3 now, I got this addiction of reading other people's blogs. To kill the time agaknya. 2 weeks of doing-nothing holidays!. Anyway, I came across this one blog. Something to do with pitying people that stuck with their old gang. And how she proud of herself that she had widened her so-called horizon. I laughed upon reading that statement.

Okay2, I admit that she met a lot of different people. But come on la. Even you got millions of friends, you still need one or two person that will always be there for you. Waktu suka or duka, kata org. I'm glad to be 'stuck' with my old gang by the way. I mean, they know the worst and the best of me. I can gladly show the true colour of myself without having to create any nonsense story about my life. So, apa salah nye, if I stuck with them. I would be happy to be stuck with them for my whole entire life. But still, I give space for meeting new ppl. It's interesting to get to know new ppl. New experience la kan. But, dun leave your old friends behind.

Tetiba trjumpa gambar2 lama.

This is a pic of my grandparents when they were younger. I miss to see them together.

Now, one of them had passed away (May Allah bless him), and the other is paralyzed from stroke. Begitulah manusia, lahir, dewasa, tua and akhirnya akan kembali ke Rabb nye. Sekadar renungan buat kalian dan diriku.

Gudbye classes, say HELLO to holidays!

Many thanks to Allah, finally my final? exam for my very 1st sem is finished. Although my last paper aka Fisio was quite tough. Nk wat cmner. 2 weeks of studying smpai xnampak dunia. Brain pon cramp smpai hari last. hu3. Anyway, the only thing left to do now is tawakkal. Biar Allah tentukan.

Okay2, enough bout exam. I think my previous posts pun are all bout it. ha3.

Yesterday, I went shopping with my friends. I ended up buying 2?! pairs of shoes, a handbag, socks, external hard disk and other miscellaneous thingy. Just imagine how much i spend! Teruk btol rasanye. I got to put myself on a tight budget loor klau mcm nie!! BTW, smlm was my 1st time masuk cinema (yeah, wat a kampung girl! nvr enter cinema before...). It's not dat bad but i still prefer watching movie etc tru laptop or tv.

Now, I got 2 weeks of cuti. For medical students, it's like 2 months. We crave for free time.

Ape erk nk wat time cuti nie?? Ermm. Tgk movie etc byk2? Lepak umah dbah? Qadho' tido? Ape2 pon jgn smpai lagho ye. Cuti2 nie muhasabahlah diri. What I should do to upgrade myself...Diriku nie dh byk slack.

p.s. Pesannya kak safiyyah, cuti nie jgn leka sgt. Klau bleh, study laa skit, revise yg lame, prepare yg baru.

ExaM Updates!

Alhamdulillah. One week of exam has passed. Tinggal lagi 2 paper, ICT? and Fisio. =.='

Tadi, br hbis exm TITAS. One word. KO! Agk dasat gk laa MCQ. I felt like kicking myself coz xbace btol2. ha3 berjujuk2 I tembak~ Adess.

Nway, what's up with other subjects?
  1. Anat, fine la expcept for the OPSE part. ha3 I felt really3 stupid during the OSPE. Ader ke ptt instead of writing 'Suprascapular', I jotted down 'supraclavicular' on dat answer sheet. I do not noe wat kind of hantu has possessed me.
  2. Biochem was okay laa. Whenever, I came cros dr. Norma's questions, i giggled alone. Nasib bek xder owng perasan. ha3, Kesnye I xtau nk jwb laa tu. Belasah jer sumer. lalala~
  3. He2, BA was super duper okay. *Caution: xde niat nk berlagak d ni ye. Ckp sal Ba, windu lak nk tuisyen BA ngn ust taha blik. The last time, the class was quite dull. Only 2 students left. Just imagine the silence that I had to endure during the class. Hu3

Back to the present, I've to go study for fisio~ He2, skag bdak2 nie tgh lyn Nur Kaseh. Nk join tp tension lak tgk konflik si Liya and Aidil tuh. hu3...currently tgh stuck ngan citer taiwan 8.30 kt 8tv lak. Adeees. Byk laa plak dugaan dtg tyme2 exam nie. hu3

[[S.T.R.E.S.S. M.O.D.E]]

Exam is a week away. And I'm having this mental block. I cannot focus on what I'm studying. It's really frustrating!

I recalled the tutorial sesion with my anat lecturer. And we were 'terkontang-kanting' trying to identify the bones in front of us. It was like an OSPE thingy.

Dr : I know all of u are excellent students from 2ndary school and what have u become now?
Student X: ...stupid... *de-spirited face..*

That was one of our moments during tutorial. Frustrated moments.

Urgghh!!

Study Madness!

As the exam approaches, books are definitely your best friends ever.

Pagi, buku. Ptg, buku. Mlm, buku.
Anat? Fisio? Biochem? Alamak, titas lg?Arab cmner? ICT??!!

Study madness..

I know2. Maybe I exaggerated it a lil bit. But I believe it's the same thing that my friends are worried about too (or at least that's what I think). Everyone is trying their best to score for the final (no exception for me of course). Becoz, from there we will be judged by the lecturers (dean!) and seniors. And of course as an early indicator whether medic is our thingy or not.

**I've no idea why I cannot discard this italic font!!

However, to my dear friends, I know some of you are under stressed because of this. Becoz I am! So, DO remember ALLAH. Without Him, nothing is possible. Don't neglect our responsibilities to Him.

Exams are just sign boards to guide us to the right path. Do not make them as our destinations. We still have a long way to go...

BTW, have you call your parents today? **I miss my family~

and lastly ask forgiveness from your friends etc.

The main reason I wrote this because, I WANT TO REMIND myself. I've been quite derailed lately.

And I'm so sorry if I ever hurt any of you. Esp, Lel, Dib, Tim and Man. Gommen!

And to my study group, sorry if the way I explained things are 'kucar-kacir'. Thanks for being supportive during the disccussion. Sometimes, muka nampak cam nk pengsan, but y'all were still there to listen.

And to my lab group, Sanah, Amin, Njm, so sorry if there's anything went wrong during lab, or report-related.

Gommen everyone!

.::Good luck with the coming exam::.

EXAM-what?

The final exam for this sem is a few weeks away.
Remove Formatting from selection
My preparation??

Doa to Allah. Parents' blessing. Revision. Study group. Revision. Tawakkal. (ade ape2 tertinggal ker?)

Anyway this morning, Jan delivered a brief? tazkirah on SABAR (patience). There's 3 types of it. The 1st is 'sabar' during performing ibadat to Allah. 2nd is 'sabar' from maksiat and lagho thingy. It means that we should keep ourselves from ghibah and ect. The 3rd one, i sumhow forgot. he3. The thing is that, we, human, simply forget things. Alzheimer, said prof Ezz. That's why we need to remind each other to the Goodness.

T>U>G WAR??

"Education Minister confirms no return to PPSMI policy."

That was one of the headlines of NST today. As one of the products of PPMSI, I was moved to comment something about this.

Once upon a time ago, the Gov was so committed to use English in Math and Sci. It started in 2003, with my friends and I were the unfortunate students to be the 1st batch of the experiment. The purpose, (if I'm not wrong) was to help students mastering English and as early exposure before entering the universities. What more, billions of ringgit had been spend in the switching process. I admit, at 1st I hate it because my Eng was bad back then, but later, it did help to improve my Eng.

Anyway, as I stated in the tittle, where does actually the Gov stand? I mean, like almost 6 years after the implentation of PPSMI, they want to change everything back to square one? I know that the Gov's act is said to be in line to dignify our national language, but it is fair to the students? I believe that most of them are getting more and more adjusted with the current medium of teaching. Even, textbooks are in English now.

Oh, I wonder what will come up next? Sci and Math in Mandarin perhaps? Ha3...

I'm going murtad??

Relax2. The topic has nothing to do with religion thingy. I'm a muslimah and i intend to be one for the rest of my life, insyaallah.

So, WTH I'm talking about?

...erm...just saying that i dun want to be a kelantanese anymore~ ha3, i still love my kelantan though.

I'm just tired maaaaa, hearing all those comments about me being a 'celup' kelantanese...You see, I cannot speak kelantan dialect very well and my friends love to tease about that. Give me a break laaa, my mother is not even from kelantan, and since I was kid, I always speak Malay standard language with my friends even during kindergarden maaaa. But I still speak 'kelate' with my family (mutated 'kelantan' version, of course ha3).

Anyway, that's why nobody can actually guess that I'm from Kelantan. I recalled the tamhidi 'taaruf' week. Mostly think that I'm from KL or Selangor...or at least Johor. But once I told them the truth of my origin, you could actually see their disbelieving faces.

Lalala~ Malas nk layan...I'm can speak or not, that's none of your bussiness.

:: The Beginning ::

Ermm. This blog is definitely full of 'sawang'. I've deleted certain rubbish entries which were posted under my rational consciousness. Those nonsense blabberings here and there. Actually, this blog was made to occupy my over-free time after tamhidi. And I thot I would delete this blog after that. But then, i think this blog is worthy of exist. And so, In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful, i relive this blog. (0_O)..

::The Beginning::

It has been 2 months since i was called a medical student. Every now and then, I keep questioning myself whether I've made the right choice to embark on this field. It's a field that requires the integration of 3 elements; intellectual, emotional and lastly spiritual. I wonder whether the afore-mentioned elements exist within myself or whether my enthusiasm to pursue this field enough for my survival in it. and I believe the same thought also lingers in my course mates' minds. It's a new beginning for us. A beginning that leads to an endless journey.

BTW,I just finished my mid sem exam. well, it has been a couple of weeks actually. The overall result was better the previous batches. Anyway, my result was okay but the result only indicates my early comprehension in the subjects. But the worst has yet to come. Just wait for our final and professional exams. x_X..scary~

sahabat, teman, kawan~

In an authentic hadith, Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) said, "Man is influenced by the faith of his friends. Therefore, be careful of whom you associate with."

Every now and then I question my reasons why I befriended with my friends. Is it because they always be there for me and have my back? well, today, i learn a bitter truth bout this. That none of my reasons above are because of ALLAH. I somehow forget that every friendship should be made based on ALLAH. The friends that we have should bring us closer to HIM. And I also hope that I can do d same thing to them. Ameen

Berkomunikasi dgn lelaki ajnabi~!

Elakkan bercakap melalui telefon kalau belum betul-betul desperate.

4. Tundukkan pandangan. Jangan tertipu dengan subjek communication skills yang pernah kita belajar, "make eye contact with the person you’re talking to..".

Contoh :"Wahai cik _____, tundukkanlah pandangan..". Isk,isk..tak layaknya..

5. Cepatkan urusan. Tak payahlah nak berborak-borak, tanya hal peribadi, gelak-gelak, buat lawak..tak perlu,TAK PERLU! Siapkan kerja cepat-cepat, then go.

Jagalah diri, hiasi peribadi. Wassalam.
